Large Black Sheepskin Rug

Sale Price: €300.00 Original Price: €400.00

Gorgeous, curly, short haired, black sheepskin with some soft brown edges. Our longest rug currently in stock. It sits very flat and serves the purpose of a rug.

This item is available for shipping almost anywhere besides USA due to tariffs.

Length: 49 inches
Width: 26 inches

All of our sheepskins are salvaged from farmers’ waste in the wild mountains of Crete, Greece, as a byproduct of the local meat industry, which traditionally consists of lamb, sheep and goat.

Each skin is hand processed with reverence and ingredients from the land: olive oil from our family farm, free range egg yolk, natural soap etc. in order to preserve the therapeutic benefits that factory processed skins do not.

Due to its tedious and time consuming nature, this ancient tradition native to Crete and many worldwide lands, has been abandoned and replaced with quick money industries that no longer honor and revere the sacred ways of our shared ancestors.

It’s with great respect for the animals that we reclaim, revive and carry forward this timeless tradition.
