PRIMAL MOVEMENT
This primal movement activation is an awakening of the body in an integrative way that is equally intuitive as it is guided. As we are beings in physical vessels, it is essential to honor our abilities to perform the 7 primal pattern movements, as well as infant development movements, the push, pull, lunge, twist, squat, twist and walk. We as a species have practiced these movements for hundreds of years to survive, thrive, make love, tend to the land, pass on teachings, and overall serve our community. During this practice you will be invited to step beyond the constructs of your current understanding of the 7 primal pattern movements to connect with your body in a sacred, regenerative way.

THE ALCHEMY OF SOUND
I shall open the space with a guided breath ceremony. Together we will let our voices dance, rise and fall in harmony and dissonance and exploration of our attunements together in sound, in circle. I will then have a few vocal experiements and exercises to share as well as the attunement of the sacral •• vocal connection within our body’s instruments.. A teaching of the importance of emoting from within and through the vocal chamber with clear intention to release, let go, honour the well of emotion (grief, pain, wisdom, joy, bliss) and bridge outward to the cosmos. A signature of our Soul Sound.

This annual gathering was founded in 2022 upon my return to my ancestral home, as guided by my then recently transcended grandfather.
After pulling the curtain back on new age spiritual distortions and recognizing the inherited patterns within myself, I began experiencing a transformative momentum home, deeper, truer…
to the literal bones of my ancestors, the roots of the olive trees, to the desecrated ruins of ancient matriarchal temples.
It was here that my years of training, remembering and initiation with earth arts & law of love ministry came together, with the unwavering support and collaboration of my beloved zin, to birth a multifaceted template of slicing swords through illusion, reconnecting to our primal & cosmic truths and cultivating the trust for ourselves to embody, anchor & broadcast our unique blueprint - stepping into the fullness of our multidimensional nature in a rooted, practical way.
I welcome you with the blessing of my ancestors and direction of my spirit guides to this sacred, primal, nourishing, activating and celebratory rite of passage. it’s an immense honor to gather in reverence for all life and realigning with inter-dependence as humans and stewards of earth, devoting higher to our heart’s intelligence & soul’s mission.

“Mana Yi is not a retreat. It is an initiation into the lost arts of woman and sisterhood.
It’s the class for maidens and mothers that the government-ruled schooling system banned. There will be laughter and feasts and dancing in long skirts long into the night. There will also be ceremony, silence, deep teachings, grief and pain.
The grief and pain, the triggers and discomfort, the desire to run or avoid, the places within us that are crunchy or caked in shame, they were already there within us.
Mana Yi helps to bring it out and into the light.”

we have 2 sanctuaries for this gathering: one is our house, and down the road from it is the villa where the group will be hosted. we’ll split meals and events between the 2 locations. the villa has a pool and we’re just a couple kilometers from the sea, with epic mountain views, in a humble and traditional cretan village
